5th of feb 2007
Mid semester exams are going on.I am having two tests from 1:30 pm. Got up at 9 am. Till now I have not studied a single word.(doing the same for last 6 semesters)No book is required to study the subject, class notes are sufficient. Course 1-refractory,course 2- refractory (elective). Got up in the morning and went around in the lobby looking for someone who would have studied something. Only four guys out of our batch of 23 boys had studied something in bits and pieces- Ravi(had a good knowledge),Rani(had hardly studied half the syllabus),gaurav singh(had studied nothing but was fighting hard to get into the course),sardar(had studied a good bit) . Paul just got up, he didn't have a bath today. He did not have any notes with him.He brushed his teeth and went to have his breakfast. Khare,Katiyaar, kholu and rani were playing cards right in the morning......I went into my room and studied for a couple of hours. Its 1:30.... We are sitting in the ceramic engineering lecture theater. Everybody sat down in three columns. Ravi was heading a column,12 students sat behind him. Niraj had as usual studied nothing but was siitng behind ravi sinha.vajpayee followed niraj. Deepshikha headed another column with 10 students. Rest of us were sitting in a third column and unfortunately I was sitting on the first bench of this third column. We reduced the efforts to be made by the examiner. All of us had hardly three sheets to be submitted to the examiner, the others being their photocopy. The exam was over with two more exams the other day. The whole day went by watching movies and playing cards. I had my dinner at jain mess. I slept that night with paul.Life is obsessed with chatting and orkut.
the thought I had in my mind today
Though I am pretty bad at communicating things to people, I have started liking meeting new people and making new friends. In the journey I experienced the fun of having the best friends of the same sex and good friends of the opposite sex(in the friends zone). Each relation went by as a sin curve teaching many things with time. Happy moments spent together get washed by few sorrow incidents. Human psyche catches the negative quality pretty fast and it sticks in our subconscious mind. Its important that we learn how to treasure our friends.
